DRIVETIME PRESENTER (VOLUNTEER)
Welwyn Hatfield Radio is seeking a volunteer presenter for our weekday Drivetime programme.
This is one of the station's most important shows, reaching listeners as they travel home, finish work and prepare for their evening. You'll be responsible for delivering an entertaining and informative programme featuring music, local information, traffic updates, interviews and community content.
Responsibilities:
• Present a live weekday radio programme.
• Deliver local news, information and community updates.
• Conduct interviews where appropriate.
• Create engaging and entertaining content.
• Operate studio equipment (training provided).
• Represent the station professionally.
What we're looking for:
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• A strong understanding of local issues and events.
• Creativity and enthusiasm.
• Previous radio experience is desirable but not essential.
What you'll gain:
• Experience on a licensed radio station.
• Training and development opportunities.
• Networking opportunities within media and the local community.
• References and portfolio material.
• Potential progression into paid broadcasting opportunities.
Please note: This programme offers future sponsorship opportunities and may develop into a paid position as station revenue grows. We may consider a pre-recorded arrangement for the correct person. Monday-Friday 3:00pm-6:00pm
